Help Save Our Farm: The Adopt a Hemp Plant Project

Background
With the passing of HB3222 in IL I am facing insurmountable regulatory fees to continue doing what I love: provide quality non-intoxicating CBD hemp products. The bill will also reclassify any product that could be smoked or vaped as cannabis as of Nov 12, 2026. So people will no longer have access to CBD/CBG floral material outside of a cannabis dispensary in Illinois. 😭
In order to combat both of these I have devised the Adopt a Hemp Plant Project! I'll also be discounting our bulk flower to reduce your financial barrier to these products. Your freedom to access them is more important to me than profit.
How does the Adopt a Hemp Plant Project work?

The Adopt a Hemp Plant Project is simple. Pay $100 now to adopt a hemp plant, then reap the benefits at harvest time. In late September/early October the entire plant will be yours to take home. Yeilds will vary, but we typically average a 1/4 lb of floral material per plant. You will have 3 options for your adopted plant; self harvest, farm processing, and donate.
For self harvest, you will come to the farm to trim/harvest your plant, and take your plant home with you to dry.
For farm processing, I will harvest your plant, dry and trim, and ship you the finished floral material. This option includes a small upcharge for shipping, and to pay trimmers to complete the work before the Nov 12 deadline.
The donate option allows you to donate the adopted plant to someone in need. If you are someone in need, reply in the comments to let us know what the donated plant will mean to you or your family. You can also email me (if you prefer to stay anonymous). We will do our best to provide for all that we can.
How will this save the farm? We typically grow 300-500 plants a year. If we can get the majority of the field adopted, we should have raised enough money to cover the increase in regulatory fees and make the necessary facility upgrades. We'll have around 100 CBD plants this year and the remaining are CBG varieties.
More Ways to Help
You can also help by clearing out our current inventory. All of our current infused items will need retested. The amount of these remaining does not make this feasible, so help us sell out! We will also be unable to sell any of our floral material starting Nov. 12, 2026. We could save this for processing, but I would rather have the inventory go to people that want it— while they still have access to do so. We have lots of prerolls and flower in stock that I will be discounting to help reduce your barrier to access these products.
If you don't have the finances to adopt a plant or purchase our current inventory, don't fret. You can still help us by sharing our content! Share our Facebook and Instagram post to increase their visibility. Likes and comments help too! Share this blog with your friends and family. Search for our farm, or the "adopt a hemp plant project" in your search engine, and scroll until you find our content. Every time you do one of these things it boosts visibility and the amount of people we are able to reach. Thank you for all of the love and support over the years, we really couldn't do it without you!
