FAQ

  • Will I fail a drug test if I use hemp?
While it is not likely at low and infrequent doses, it is possible to fail a drug test when using a full spectrum hemp product especially if used regularly or at high doses. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is stored in your fat cells and can build up overtime with frequent use. So even though you will not feel psychoactive effects, or be high you could possibly fail a drug test. If you have a vocation that is subject to THC testing the safest option is to use a CBD isolate product that contains 0% THC.
  • Is hemp legal?
The 2018 farm bill legalized production of Hemp and derived substances and removed them from the controlled substance act on a Federal level. CBD and CBG hemp strains are legal in almost all 50 states, though it's use may have special restrictions. Double check these links to see the laws for your state.
  • What about high THCa hemp? farm bill compliant cannabis seeds or clones?
To answer simply, high THCa hemp does not exist. If you see claims of 2014 or 2018 farm bill compliant high THCa hemp, cannabis seeds, or clones - run! These companies are being misleading at YOUR expense. Extended answer: All of these companies marketing high THCa hemp claim their products are 0.3% THC farm bill compliant. However, they fail to provide decarboxylated THCa levels which are required under Section 2 of the US Federal farm bill stipulating the lab testing of THC levels which allow plants to be classified as hemp. Similarly farm bill compliant cannabis seeds and clones do not exist. They do contain below 0.3% THC, however intentionally selling viable seeds, clones, or other viable parts of hemp plants is prohibited to the public. Only licensed hemp growers, producers and samplers are allowed to handle these products.

  • What is CBD?
CBD or cannabidiol is one of the many compounds (phytocannabinoids) found in the cannabis plant. CBD alone is not psychoactive. According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD."
  • What is CBG?
Cannabigerol, or CBG is one of many compounds found within the cannabis plant. I'd argue that CBG is the most important cannabinoid, as all cannabinoids are created within the plant (biosynthesized) from it's acidic form. This is why Cannabigerol is often referred to as the "Mother cannabinoid". Like CBD, CBG is not psychoactive. It is usually found in lower concentrations within the cannabis plant, however selective breeding has allowed for hemp strains with higher concentrations of CBG. CBG dominate strains will often have very low or no detectable THC concentrations in their mature flowers.
  • Is CBD safe?
Side effects of CBD can include nausea, fatigue and irritability. CBD is processed by the CYP450 enzyme in the liver, and can compete with the uptake of other medications. You should consult your doctor before consumption if you take blood thinners or medication with a grapefruit interaction. High doses of CBD may show abnormalities in liver related blood tests, so you should notify your doctor if you take CBD regularly.
